The Combination Drawing & Flat Dies make a superb tool for general purpose forging operations, including necking down at transitions, texturing and general fullering. The shaper convex face of the drawing half moves the material quickly whilst the flat side can be used to keep the material in line. The flat side is also useful for all manner of techniques including blocking in parallel sides, using set tools and flattening.
